In-Home Euthanasia

When it is time to say “goodbye”…

We know how important your companion is to you. We also know saying goodbye is incredibly difficult. Every moment together matters. We are fortunate to be able to make this process a little easier on our pets and families by performing euthanasia in the pet’s home. Your pet can have a peaceful passing in their most comfortable place, surrounded by family and lots of love. We are truly honored to help you and your pet during this difficult time.

AFTER CARE

-Private Cremation is an individually cremated pet with ashes returned to your family. Your beloved pet is separated from other pets by partitions during the cremation process and the ashes you receive are that of only your treasured companion.
-Communal Cremation means your pet is cremated along with other pet companions and their ashes are collectively scattered at a private location in a natural setting, not returned to the family.
-Home burial is also an option for families who do not elect a cremation option. Local regulations apply and can be discussed at an appointment.

We work closely with a local, licensed crematory service, for all of our client’s cremation needs.

Frequently
Asked
Questions

  • With our service, you and your pet can stay at home for the entire process. We do not require a consultation/exam prior to scheduling a euthanasia. Any recent medical history or records you can provide is always appreciated but not required. At the appointment, we will get any additional information we need, perform a brief examination of your companion , and complete the necessary paperwork with you. Based on your pet’s condition, an appropriate euthanasia approach will be determined which involves sedation to provide pain and stress relief and then proceeded with a peaceful euthanasia. We can handle after care of your pet’s body by transporting them with us afterwards and making cremation arrangements.

If you choose a home burial, we will assist you as much as we can. Sometimes that is wrapping the pet in their favorite blanket or helping move the pet to their final resting site on the property.

  • We prefer about 2 days notice to schedule appointments. We also know things can happen very quickly with our pets and this may not work for everyone. We are sometimes able to accommodate same day appointments. Give us a call to discuss scheduling if you are in need of help quickly.

  • No. If your pet is ready for euthanasia, your first appointment with us can be for in-home euthanasia. A pre-consultation or hospice consultation is not required prior to a euthanasia appointment.

  • See the above section for pricing on in-home euthanasia and cremation options. Also, use our calculator for assistance.

  • We can take your pet with us after the appointment and make arrangements for your pet’s cremation. The crematory service picks up pets directly from our facility to transport to the crematory. For private cremations, ashes are typically ready for pick up in less than 2 weeks.

Some clients choose to make their own cremation arrangements. In that case, we will leave your pet with you after confirming their passing.

  • For private cremations only-the fastest way to get your pet’s cremated remains back is to pick up your pet directly from the crematory. Which takes on average 1.5 weeks. Someone will contact you either from our office or from the crematory directly, informing you when your pet is ready for pick up. We are happy to provide you with their address and phone number.

The next option to get your pet returned is for us for to deliver your pet’s ashes ourselves. We do charge a delivery fee based on your location. Also, this option may take a little longer as we fit in the delivery into our regularly scheduled day of appointments. An average 2-3 weeks for delivery but sometimes sooner.
